To empower and support the emotional needs of young cancer patients using innovative music programs and Music Therapy.
Founded in January 2000, Rock Against Cancer is a national nonprofit organization using music and Music Therapy while working with well-known entertainers from the music industry to empower and support the emotional needs young cancer patients. Rock Against Cancer's programs provide children and families respite from the long and painful cancer treatment process using music, while helping to garner public awareness and support for the youngest cancer survivors.
"Stars Night Out," provides teens with cancer an opportunity to meet artists for personal photographs & autographs, and enjoy special concert seating.
"Gifts from the Heart" serves children unable to leave the hospital by providing the gift of music with help from major recording labels. “School or Rock” provides a Board Certified Music Therapist in eight top Children’s Oncology Group treatment centers including: The Mayo Clinic, Duke Children’s, UCLA, UCSF, NC Children’s, Tomorrows Children’s Institute, Carolinas Medical Center, Primary Medical Center (Salt Lake City) to provide psychosocial support to young cancer patients.
