From
our Founder...
Rock Against Cancer continues to empower young cancer patients with
music. RAC is proud to announce the establishment of eight (8) Hot Topic
Foundation "School of Rock" programs around the US.
A "School of Rock" provides a Board Certified Music Therapist and/or
a digital recording studio with instrument donations to Children's Oncology
Group hospitals. Music Therapy has been shown to lessen nausea; anxiety
and pain while helping young cancer patients express their feelings
about cancer such as being bald. Music Therapy provides crucial emotional
support while the young cancer patients fight for their lives.
Rock Against Cancer’s eight Hot Topic Foundation “School
of Rock” centers providing Music Therapy to hundreds of young
cancer patients currently ‘making music part of the cure’
