RAC Benefit Concert - Detroit.
Randy Short and his dedicated group of RAC volunteers in Detroit staged the first Rock Against Cancer benefit concert on July 19, 2002.
The event took place at The Bullfrog Bar and Grill in Redford, Michigan. The evening was a rousing success thanks to some great Detroit rock n roll provided by local bands: Grand Circus, Freak Fusion, Hypertach, Juli, and Velkro.

Following a special benefit dinner, a guitar signed by Johnny Reznick of the Goo Goo Dolls was auctioned, raffles were held and everyone went home amped from the stellar evening. Concert organizer Randy Short commented, "I was interested in helping RAC because of a childhood friend that had Leukemia. I remember going to doctor visits with him and seeing the hardships he had to endure because of the illness."
Thank you Detroit and Redford for your support!
